There is nothing I like better than to have a quiet rainy Sunday. The only thing that could make it better would be a snow filled Sunday, but that's not in the forecast, at least not yet :) I grab my favorite beverage, Wild Mountain Blueberry coffee, a wonderful hand made crochet blanket Betty Hanawa made me, turn on the tunes and watch it rain. Then five minutes later I'm done and ready to move on. But seriously it's soothing to write as I listen to the water hit my windows and the wind blowing through the trees. Weird, I know.
The writing has been slow as my shoulder slowly learns to go back where it belongs. I have it popped in three days a week along with shocking the mess out of it. Then there's the needles. Yep, I said needles and no not the crazy big a#$ one they put in my shoulder for the MRI. These are acupuncture needles. How weird is it that a professional can stick tiny needles all along your body & heal you? I was totally sporting the porcupine look by the time the doc was done with me. There were two in my scalp, two in my upper forehead near my hairline, two in my cheekbones or near there, one in my breastbone and two more some place else on my face. Then BOOM twenty minutes later they take them out and I feel better. Crazy what so-called medieval people knew way back when and we're finally get smart enough to take advantage of. I've even been told the treatment can work my my ADHS, migraines & PMS. Hello, sign me the heck up. I'm all for better living through chemistry, but not when something this natural and easy is way better for me.
Onto the writing world. In April I'll be leaving for LA and the Romantic Times conference. I hope all of you will stop by, say hello or at least introduce yourself while I'm in the bar. Yep, I already know where I'll be because I'm hanging out with the infamous Desiree Holt, Samantha Cayto & Lynn Connolly. The number one speed dial on my cell phone has been changed to my bail bondmen. You know just in case they get me into trouble.
I'll be at both book signings in LA along with the reader room. I can't remember the proper name of it, but I'm sure you'll hear us laughing and causing trouble. Also one of my publishers, Ellora's Cave, is having a big party Bollywood style. Stop by, have a drink and feel free to ogle the Cavemen, we certainly do.
In the next few weeks I'm hoping my shoulder eases up enough that I can get some work done. So many bricks in the fire and not enough arms to do anything. In a few weeks I head out again to celebrate Alliepoolsa 2011. Yes, you read right. My b-day is a huge celebration. After all, its not every day a girl turns 29...for the fourth time :) Ill be spending the week with some of my favorite people on the planet. Desiree Holt, Nicole Austin, Brenna Zinn, Samantha Cayto, Regina Carlye & Cerise Deland. Oh what plans those women have for me. No, I can't share them for fear of leaving evidence. Yep, that kind of party. And no there will be no pictures taken...again for fear of leaving an evidence trail.
That's it for now people. I hope you had a wonderful week and are ready to face the Monday morning meltdowns. Yeah, I hate them too, even if I do get to work in my jammies.
Until next week (I hope)
Kudos,
Allie
